Mufti Day for Haiti
FRIDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2010
Following the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti, we, the student council, have decided to hold a mufti-day (non-uniform) this Friday in order to raise money for the UNICEF Haiti earthquake children's appeal. Since this dreadful earthquake many children have been left in desperate need of clean water, shelter and medical care.
The student council would like to raise £1000 for the appeal. We are asking all children to bring in £1.00 for wearing their own clothes but, of course, we would be delighted for everyone to pay a little more for this very worthwhile cause. Children could also bring extra cash because there will also be opportunities for them to buy refreshments and take part in little games and activities organised for the day by the different classes in school.
We have been learning about 'Rights and Responsibilities' and how we all have a responsibility for helping others with such desperate needs. We hope you will be able to support us.
Thank you,
Student Council
